All About Me ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ
My name is Carlos Gabriel M. Parel, and I am writing this in the year 2024. I am currently 17 years old, living in Pantay Daya, Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
I don’t really like to label myself with any specific religion; I prefer to call myself a follower of Christ. I am the only one in my family who is very religious. My mom stays home as a housewife, while my dad works tirelessly as a salesman to provide for us. My big sister plays a significant role in keeping our family healthy, while my little sister brings joy into our home.
As the only son, I am doing my best to fulfill my responsibilities. Although things aren’t perfect and there are challenges, I am grateful for each day and the opportunities to overcome my struggles and enjoy life. I trust that any hardships I face are part of a larger plan that the Lord has made for me, and I hope that my efforts will be rewarded.
Now, on a lighter note, my confidence is generally low, but I have a strong interest in spreading the gospel, preaching, and speaking to large groups. My primary skills are in video editing and troubleshooting or repairing computers. I also have a passion for music, especially playing guitars and making music. Although my other interests might change over time, music remains a constant joy for me.
I also have a deep love for fictional stories, including anime, novels, and manga. These have profoundly impacted my life, shaping my mindset and providing valuable lessons. Even though they are fictional, they sometimes convey such realistic feelings and emotions that they feel more real than real life. I find immense joy whenever I discover well-written and impactful stories with relatable characters. It makes me appreciate how smart these authors are to create something so amazing through their writing and imagination.
Looking ahead, I feel a bit uncertain about the future. I’m aware that I lack some essential skills and have yet to find a clear goal that truly fulfills me. I often feel unsatisfied because I haven’t discovered anything that makes my heart race with excitement. However, I hope that in the near future, I will find those missing pieces, and I look forward to reading and reflecting on this again as the years go by.
